I got my ass kicked in Muay Thai sparring today and I’m actually really happy.
Because 1) this was my first time sparring in many years (and after my accident too.)
2) I know what I need to work on for next time and
3) I better understand my opponent. She was very physically strong and it has been some time that I have had to battle someone with that much strength.
My endurance to the hits will take some time to build up and then I will work on my technique and flow a little more. People are always so afraid of getting stung by the hits, but I like it. Even those hard hitters run out of juice eventually.
